Meet The Staff

Amanda and her husband were middle school sweethearts and married in 2006. They became licensed foster parents in 2015 and are raising their family in Northern Michigan. Prior to joining the Family Bound team in 2023, Amanda spent many years working in Information Technology, and loves using that knowledge to organize the family schedule and set healthy tech boundaries for kids. Amanda recognizes the need for making supportive connections with others traveling this journey, and loves learning more through reading, taking courses, and attending foster and adoptive family retreats and events. She loves the books “How to Love an Alien” by Kim Seidel and “From Fear to Love” by Bryan Post and has found their methods to be very effective for her family. Amanda is excited to support families through their licensing and fostering journey!
