Anita Hyde

Region 2

Foster Care Navigator

Anita Hyde has worked in the social services field for over 15 years. She has served as a juvenile delinquent youth advocate, foster care and adoptive parent, parent educator and a supervised visitation worker. Anita’s personal and professional experiences have provided many opportunities for a strong base in advocating for foster and adoptive families as well as youth who are at risk. She became passionate when her family embarked on their foster and adoptive journey. Her family has fostered 10 children and adopted four of those children. While working in the field, Anita has involved herself formally and informally in supporting and advocating for others who walk the same path. Anita receiving her bachelor’s degree in family studies from Central Michigan University was a natural progression of her informal experiences as a foster and adoptive parent. She is active in her church and supporting her children’s current endeavors. She lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband, children, dogs and cat. Anita spends her free time gardening, sewing, crocheting and taking bike rides with her family.
