Meet Our Staff

Joan Cutler and her husband of 21 years are the parents of 3 children, their youngest being adopted through foster care. Creating a warm, nurturing and safe-haven has been their goal as they raise their busy family. Joan and her husband moved to Michigan in 2003 from San Francisco and fell in love with the seasons and the heart of the people. Joan has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and worked for years as counselor for kids in the juvenile detention system. She has been an active volunteer in every school her children have attended. Joan is incredibly grateful to be a survivor of both breast cancer and Leukemia and knows the challenges of raising a family that is dealing with many stressors. Joan is excited for the opportunity to help kids find their forever homes, whether through reunification or adoption.
