Jacqueline (Jackie) Gant

Region 4

Foster Care Navigator & Coordinator of Native American Outreach

Jacqueline (Jackie) Gant is an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation of the Thames Tribal Community and, in 1998, received a master’s degree in education from Harvard University, Graduate School of Education. Jackie has dedicated her life to working in the non-profit sector, with a few stops along the way in the corporate, legal and insurance sectors. However, it is working in First Nation Tribal Communities that gives her the most joy and a sense of satisfaction in her life – her goal is giving back to assist tribal communities to become stronger. Today, Jackie works in foster care on a statewide basis assisting Native and non-Native American families as they go through the foster care licensure process to become foster parents. Jackie’s main interest and love is being a mom to her 10-year-old adopted son, who has special needs, and being blessed each and every day for the joy he brings to her life.
