This page is a one-stop-shop for all things Orientation, Support Group, and Training! While everything is listed together on this page, the filtration options will also allow you to refine your results to display results from just one category, filter by location, or search using keyword(s).

Orientations: Whether you’ve made the decision to pursue licensure and are ready to find an agency that will meet your family’s needs or you’re still on the fence and are curious about what the agencies in your area have to offer, attending an orientation is a great next step!

Support Groups: Building a community of support is one of the best things you can do for yourself to ensure your success as a foster, adoptive, and/or kinship/relative parent or caregiver! Support groups listed here are offered by a variety of agencies and programs, so feel free to do some browsing to find a group that will work well for you. Additionally, some groups are currently being held virtually while others are being held in person, so be sure to consider that as well when selecting a group.

Trainings: As a foster, adoptive, and/or kinship/relative parent or caregiver, staying up to date on trainings is incredibly important! We hope this page can serve as an ongoing resource to you and your family as you seek out trainings on a variety of topics. While the Foster Care Navigator program does offer trainings throughout the state, please also note that this page is a home for trainings being offered by a variety of hosts, including licensing agencies and other like-minded organizations, so you always have access to diverse content that will suit your needs.
