Meet The Staff

Katie and her husband Jeff have been married 18 years and have a house full of amazing kids! They currently reside in Grand Haven, Michigan but are in the process of building a new home for their large family in Muskegon. They have been fostering for over 10 years now and have adopted several kids along the way. In 2012, Katie and Jeff started the non-profit Kids Belong, which raises awareness of the need for more foster families in West Michigan. Katie joined the FEC staff in January of 2020 as a Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for Muskegon and Ottawa counties. She is now also the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for Lake/Newaygo & Mason/Oceana counties as well as the Foster Care Navigator for Muskegon & Ottawa.
