As Ramadan comes to a close, and Eid is just around the corner (May 1-2), we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the valuable work of our friends at Muslim Foster Care Association. During this sacred holiday season, MFCA's annual Eid Gift Program is in full swing. From MFCA: "Imagine a child that has to be removed from their own home because of neglect, abuse, or some other family tragedy and now has to live with a family that does not share their faith, culture, or language. [...] MFCA works to support these children and the foster families that care for them, while also allowing for these children to maintain a connection with their faith. We hope to provide Muslim foster youth in Michigan with the opportunity to enjoy and cherish their Islamic holiday season by supplying toys and educational resources to nourish both their fun and free time." 

The work of MFCA is not only important during this holiday season. They also serve our community all year round, providing:
   * Welcome Packages for Muslim children coming into foster care
   * Connecting non-Muslim and Muslim foster families for friendship and cultural exchange
   * Education of non-Muslim caregivers and social workers who are caring for Muslim children
   * Support groups, resources, and so much more!
