Online - Pre-Recorded

Many individuals may find themselves entering a relative/kinship adoption with little notice and little knowledge of what steps it requires. During this hour, we address why relative and kinship adoptions are important and how families may find themselves in the position to consider adopting. We also cover the required steps of the process and supports that will be useful along the way. Finally, we recount challenges we’ve witnessed others experience and provide helpful hints that may make your family’s experience smoother. A mother, who adopted her nieces and nephews also shares her personal experience going through the process.
