"Patrick empowers everyone he meets. With over 27 years of foster parent experience, Patrick is a strong role model. Earlier this year, Patrick's husband died. Since that time, he has remained strong for his 6 adopted children and 3 foster children whom he is in the process of adopting.

Patrick is a wonderful support to other foster parents and birth parents. He encourages birth families through their barriers and opens his mind and heart to them. Patrick supports sibling visits, facilitates telephone calls with biological family, encourages parents to be present at school functions and appointments, and even has welcomed birth parents to his home to celebrate holidays when appropriate. He does so much for others, never asking for anything in return."
