While Charles and Patty were getting licensed, their licensing agency had trouble maintaining a home for a child with very difficult behaviors. The couple provided respite care for the child until they were licensed and chose to take her into their home.  They have advocated on her behalf throughout her time with them by getting her involved  with Early On, education assistance, and individual therapy. 

Charles and Patty are very proud of the child and all that she has accomplished!  They are very committed to her and make sure that her well being and safety are priority. They make sure that  she is give the opportunity to experience things, learn, and grow.   Charles and Patty never considered adoption before caring for her, but she created such a special place in their hearts.  They decided there was no way they wouldn't adopt her if given the opportunity!  They reflect on where their daughter started and are thrilled to witness how far she has come, all the hard work she has done, how very smart she is, and all the potential she has. 

Charles and Patty are not afraid to reach out to others for help or support. They participate in as many foster care events, support groups, and meet ups as they can. They ensure that their daughter can spend time and maintain relationships with siblings. Charles and Patty are exemplary foster parents who are responsive, timely, and supportive in their teaming with the agency and providing excellent care.
